{"id":438,"date":"2012-04-30T03:05:24","date_gmt":"2012-04-30T03:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foothillscommunityworkshop.org\/?p=292"},"modified":"2026-01-30T23:53:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T23:53:08","slug":"open-housecookout-phase-ii-june-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fcwhack.com\/?p=438","title":{"rendered":"Open House\/Cookout (Phase II)- June 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FCW is nearing the end of Phase II of construction at the site.\u00a0 This will mark the opening of new areas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The classroom<\/em> &#8211; will be able to handle 16-20 students in a seated environment.\u00a0 The room can also be used for computer training, demos, and movies.<\/li>\n<li><em>The model shop<\/em>&#8211; will eventually house the model railroad which is to be moved in this Summer.\u00a0 It will also house model making equipment and tools for making scenery, props, and models for railroad, airplanes and others.\u00a0 There is a large viewing window\u00a0 in the railroad area.<\/li>\n<li><em>The ham radio station<\/em> &#8211; K4FCW.\u00a0 This will start off with HF and VHF equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These will join the Machine Shop, Electronics Shop, and Wood Shop to support FCW activities.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of these areas will be celebrated with an<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> Open House and Cookout<\/span> on <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Saturday, June 2<\/span> from 10AM to 6PM.\u00a0 The day will be filled with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tours<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrations of various science and technical topics<\/li>\n<li>Games<\/li>\n<li>Activities for all ages<\/li>\n<li>Food<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300\">Guests are welcome!!<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FCW is nearing the end of Phase II of construction at the site.\u00a0 This will mark the opening of new areas.
